Yes! A functioning record changer lifts the stylus & either drops a new LP onto the platter, or shuts the turntable off.

Hardly a metaphor for death. Sacajawea had me going there.

Anyway, death of the body is not the end of existence. The spirit lives on, its fate determined by the record of its bodily life. God is, and He will judge all.

Not on the old record players. You had to physically lift the needle and change the record or go back to the beginning.
