The sheriff denies it has anything to do with the previous fires, and that the man claimed to have started the fire to keep warm. But why an arrest for arson if that is the case? Doesn’t arson require malicious intent?

This is just how I predicted it even though eyewitnesses saw sparks from loose power lines starting the fires during high winds.
There was no way they were going to fine the big dog power company for these murders and wildfire and would need a patsy.
