Make no mistake. Linda has a great voice.
Having said that....Linda covered many of Karla Bonoff’s musical creations.
Listen to side-by-sides of her and Linda, and you’ll find something special in Karla. Awesome passion in her own music.
You try keeping fit and trim when you have Parkinson’s. One of the most debilitating diseases on the planet.
You know of what you speak! A great album (Faithless Love)!
It’s sad. I didn’t know that. I hope she receives Jesus if she hasn’t yet.
Her work with Riddle is an all-time classic.
“She was one hell of a Mariachi singer for many years arguably one of the best ever.”

Too me that would be the equivalent of being the best brain surgeon in all of Dogpatch.
The girl’s “we’re breaking up” song
Great talent in the late 60s & early 70s. Her late 70s pop and salsa stuff, not so much.
>>I liked her singing in Spanish. As as a person, not so much.<<
I knew her back in the 1978. My roommate and I helped rescue her Malibu home from the Big Winter Tides that tore up the Colony. For a while we were welcome to come by and visit, which we did once a week or so for a few months, but then she left Malibu and we never heard from here again.
She was sweet, but REALLY dippy. She couldn’t really carry on much of a conversation but was funny.
Written by Mike Nesmith. Tho, for a better break up LR breakup song I’d vote for “Long, Long Time”.

“Faithless Love” (a GREAT song) written by the great JD Souther who was Linda’s live-in partner for quite some time.
JD’s version is far better than Linda’s.
Either way it's all good.
Linda did a prison concert in the mid-70s and sang “You’re No Good” to the convicts. Had to laugh at that.
Remember Love is a Rose?

You're No Good--Dee Dee Warwick (1963)
Definitely got that hateful old democrat bitch look to her now.
Too me that would be the equivalent of being the best brain surgeon in all of Dogpatch.
Somewhere in my stacks of LPs I have a Bonoff album. Someday I may get a turntable set up again.
