For like the fifth weekend in a row, college footballs got a light-looking schedule. Were really piling up big games for the latter half of the season, it seems! Thats OK, though, because well keep having fun along the way.
Week 7 also feels totally out of order, and not just because Oklahoma-Texas/Texas-Oklahoma/the Red River Rivalry/the Red River Shootout/the Red River Showdown/etc. isnt an 11 a.m. local kick. Most of the best games are in Saturdays early half, so be sure to clock in early.

It might be interesting to watch the Arizona UCLA game to see what QB Khalil Tate does after his 327 rushing yards on 14 carries against Colorado.
Fire Mike Sanford!
My Florida Gators and Texas A & M will have a contest to see who sucks the most.
Aside from conference and local bragging rights, the 2017 season seems to be about the inexorable march towards a Bama vs. Clemson title game.
My money is on Florida sucking the most.
Talk about fun, watch UCF, the highest scoring team in the country.
Their quarterback had a QB rating in the high 300s in the third quarter last week. Unheard of.
Yeah, the Home record is going to take a hit.
And those uniforms they are going to wear are atrocious.
A Noon start sucks for tailgating. 11 AM would be even worse.
I will be watching my Huskers get curbstomped by tOSU at 630 on FS1. The spread (-24 though I’ve heard from some of my wagering friends that -28 is out there) is the largest on Nebraska in 60 years. There is a lot of unhappiness in the Land of the Big Red right now and another ass kicking on semi-national TV aint gonna help. Plus I am gonna have to listen to the squealing small person (isn’t that the PC term for midget?) Gus Johnson doing the play by play since my football party peeps wont let me sync up the homer Husker Sports Network. That guy drives me nuts worse than Beth Mowins.
Oh well, I enjoy the fun and socializing at my weekly football party with all of my cronies and their spouses. There will be lots of Miller Lites and shots to make the medicine of sub-mediocre football go down the pipe a little more smoothly I guess.
Good luck to your Gators! I watched the Tom Petty tribute on Youtube. That was awesome!
It’s certainly isn’t 1995 anymore for both of our teams.
I am looking forward to the UCF versus UConn matchup.
UConn gave up seventy points to Memphis!
Unheard of because it is statistically impossible. The highest it can be is 158.3.
Yeah, I may not watch this weekend... last weekend sucked.
A 10-4 and a 9-4 and two division titles the last couple of years seem light years away from Dear Old Nebraska U. right now. I know last year was 9-4 for us but things have gone down the crapper since we absorbed the big whipping at the Horseshoe last year.
I am not predicting but would not be surprised if we have an “interim” coach next week.
As for ‘95, I apologized to all the young guys I work with that they haven’t gotten to experience a time like the ‘80s or ‘90s as an adult Husker fan. Not my fault but those times were magical and it is hard to fathom where the program is now.
Alabama has two potential foes. Auburn and SEC title game against Georgia if they continue playing as they have until this point in season.
Clemson against Miami and Florida State are toughest games. FS seems to be in a funk caused by the opening loss and the loss of the two weather cancellations. They may improve though.
Both of the major schools here in the state of Washington are undefeated, UW Huskies and the WSU Cougars are ranked in the top 10. For now.
Enjoy it while you can. Frost is off to Nebraska.
Holy schnikies! Maybe UCF hangs a hundo on ‘em!
