Vast majority of Irish forget that they had full representation in the Westminster parliament. Irish politicians had power to direct the course of the British Empire. And the “Republic” of Ireland has not been independent since 1972; the Third Amendment to Ireland’s constitution puts European Union law supreme above Irish law.
