After months and months of investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of investigators have nothing to show for their manic search for a crime. Therefore the news this past week that members of Mueller's team interviewed the author of the "Golden Showers" dossier have given much of the mainstream media some slight hope that maybe, just maybe, something in that document can finally give them hope. One MSM outlet in particular, Newsweek, is notable for its desperation to lend validity to the "Golden Showers" dossier.
Newsweek assigned its own Jason Le Miere to the unenviable task of lending credibility to the much mocked dossier. Even Le Miere in his October 7 article starts out by conceding the sad fact for liberals that the infamous dossier is unverified:

This is one of the weirdest stories I have ever read. Even before he was elected, President Trump was a very well-known public figure with an amazing work ethic. The left is scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
The original was commissioned by Obama back during the DNC Primary between him and Hillary. It was an investigation into Russian 'meddling' in US politics.
Obama won so the dossier was buried.
When Trump became President, the FBI took it out of the trash and had it re-written with TRUMP as the key figure instead of Hillary. They showed it to Trump as an example of what could be generated to use against him and explained how they needed more MONEY and POWER to keep that from happening.
He didn't acquiesce to their demands, and the result is what you see today.
Meanwhile, the troll over at 4chan who made up the “dossier” is chortling every day at how much influence he has had over the “investigation,” the special counsel, and the media.
I picture the “dossier” author decades from now telling his grandkids how he duped a whole army of lawyers, investigators, and news media with a story so ridiculous that no one with a speck of sense would fall for it.
I imagine it’s much like the person behind the “Max Headroom” incident is probably still laughing about it, as the incident has become part of modern culture history.

The only dirt Mueller is uncovering is Hillary’s and they are spending most of their time destroying evidence.

The stupid Dossier says Trump only watched the golden shower. It was supposedly because Obama had slept in that bed.
I thought it was originally GOPe candidates going against Trump in the primary (hello, Jeb) who originally commissioned it?
Let’s just pretend for a moment that the dossier was real. I’ve never read it myself but from what I’ve heard it has Trump renting a room in Moscow and vulgarly messing up a bed that Obama slept in previously. Is that it? Because I don’t see the crime even if it were 100% true.

I can remember when a senior Congressional Democrat (Tip O’Neil?) said that the credibility of the report (Bush’41 flying to Paris on SR-71) did not matter, it was the seriousness of the charge that required the investigation and hearings. The fact that it benefitted the Dems was (tongue-in-cheek) completely immaterial!
Rinse and repeat, the Dems have the ear of the MSM and it keeps their donors paying!

Someone ought to ask the sexually superior liberals the obvious question.... "So, suppose it was true that he got a golden shower from a Russian hooker.... what would that have to do with the election?"
Mueller will deliver a few indictments off the menu of failure to register as a foreign agent; tax evasion, money laundering or conspiracy from the folks who worked with/for the Russians on non-campaign things; perjury on background checks and job applications; and/or obstruction of justice.
I’d give it about a one-third chance that he goes all the way and indicts Trump for obstruction in asking Comey to stop investigating Flynn and then firing Comey thereafter. Every special prosecutor who has looked at the issue has found authority to indict a sitting President, but preferred to hand it over to a House Judiciary Committee instead ... but in all three cases where it has been at issue (Watergate, Iran-Contra, and Whitewater) there was opposite-party control of the House which gave the special prosecutor a sense that the charges would be dealt with seriously by the House Judiciary Committee.
Just tell the American people who the pay check came from for the opposition research dossier
