Hope N.O. doesn’t need that money they wasted on removing CSA statues.

This is NOT a typical hurricane

Its our first transgender hurricane. This afternoon they're going to rename it "Natasha".

Mouth of the river gris-gris moves it north.
Pretty close track to Katrina.

This has been your “ooga booga” tropical update. This dude needs to drop the phrase “trust me.” Nothing says you don’t know what you’re talking about more than “trust me.”

Inland is not immune!!!

http://www.citizen-times.com/story/news/local/2017/10/06/great-smokies-expect-high-winds-rain-tropical-storm-nate/741421001/

Hurricane Nate’s high winds and rains expected this weekend could cause serious conditions in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which sprawls across a half-million acres along the border of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Park officials said that the effects of Tropical Storm Nate may impact the Smoky Mountains as early as Saturday afternoon. Preliminary estimate from the National Weather Service suggest that the storm may pass the park Saturday afternoon, overnight into Sunday and into Monday.

Current rainfall predictions range from 4-10 inches. Early wind estimates suggest the park could receive sustained winds of 25-39 mph with gusts greater than 40 mph. Historically, flooding, landslides, road washouts, and numerous tree falls along roadways and trails are associated with these types of weather conditions.

Looks very lopsided to me. I can’t tell where the center of circulation is. It looks like the cloud tops are warming and the heaviest rain is already over land.

I have to give Joe Bastardi credit. He said there was an excellent chance that Nate would become a Category 2 hurricane by land fall.
