I love my trees but it means I seldom see an actual moonrise or a sunrise, unless it’s the dead of winter and the trees are totally bare. Sunset, there’s a small clearing so I can see that. I’m out there with the dog whenever I can during sunset.

Same here in Chicago! And I was looking forward to this one...

That big, fat moon is gonna shine like a spoon.
But we’re gonna let it.
You won’t regret it.

There IS a Super Moon later in the year. Maybe we can catch that? I’m still looking to the sky...there MAY be a break in the clouds...you never know! ;)
A few weeks back, we had a perfectly clear night, and Beau and I could see The Milky Way from our front porch. Of course, we live WAY out in the Boonies and have NO light pollution whatsoever. Some nights, it’s nearly claustrophobic, the stars seem so close. Makes you feel totally insignificant in The Grand Scheme of Things, as it should!
Life Is Good. :)

All the clowning and burlesquing aside, that tune (not the words) sounds very much the kind of hymns we’d sing at church when I was a child.

If the evening is cool and crisp, it will just boom in on you as the well known harvest moon. Take a moment to look up tonight (full moon) and marvel at God’s creation.

It was foggy and slightly cloudy last night but I could tell something was bright in the sky. Might get a glimpse tonight.
