Even if they (ISIS) can prove it the story will never get traction as that narrative is not the preferred one. They cannot have this be a terrorist attack they need it to be old white guy goes crazy as a lone gun man.

If ISIS had anything that would prove this claim, they would have produced it by now. There's nothing but upside for them to prove it's true. I'd guess that means they can't prove it because it isn't true.
