Chargers' loyalty questions continue as Eagles fans arrive

In the latest example of why the Los Angeles Chargers‘ move from San Diego remains one of the most inexplicable in recent sports history, the team is defending itself against charges that it’s already tarping over sections of its stadium, the tiniest in the NFL.

Prior to Sunday afternoon’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, a Philadelphia reporter pointed out that there were tarps covering the seats at the StubHub Center, capacity 27,000.

“A few observation

The QB of the Oakland Raiders was injured in a sack yesterday. Taken to the locker room. Wasn’t their line accused of not protecting him last week because he did not kneel?

The Eagle played an away game against the LA Chargers and more fans were rooting for them than the Chargers. There were audible boos when a call went against the visiting team. Announcers said they have NEVER seen it happen before.”

The fans in the stands are rumbling.

The owner threatened to move if the City wouldn’t buy him a new stadium, and the citizen’s voted it down - so he moved.

and get this, a black, replacement QB (EJ Manuel) comes into the game for the Raiders and proceeds to complete pass after pass while enjoying pretty good protection from that same O-Line.

This is like politicians moving their failing campaign events to smaller venues to make the photos look better.

Go ahead, NFL. Try your full bucket-list of scams.

We aren’t going to fall for any of them.

Yep, it was very sad seeing the Chargers leave San Diego. The Spanos family deserves a bad time, and it sure looks like it’ll get it. Starting at 0-4 this year certainly wasn’t a great way to start, especially as the Rams are looking pretty good. No wonder fan support is lacking...

The Spanos are liars and lousy businessmen. for 15 years they lied to the City of San Diego, they leeched money at every opportunity from the fans and the City. They moved for the money. Team is more valuable in Los Angles than San Diego. Well they thought it would be. Now nobody wants this team wreck of a team. Horrible, horrible organization. That can’t miss move for more money right now is costing them everything they build or the NFL built in the past 56 years. Rot in the flames of hell.

It's the result of the fact that Carr isn't the most mobile of quarterbacks and the Oakland offensive line kind of sucks. The evidence supporting that is Marshawn Lynch, who was sitting with the best of them, gained 12 yards yesterday and I think 6 yards last week. Oakland just isn't a very good team, and I'm amazed how they continue to fool people year after year into thinking that they are.

The Eagle played an away game against the LA Chargers and more fans were rooting for them than the Chargers. There were audible boos when a call went against the visiting team. Announcers said they have NEVER seen it happen before.”

Eagles fans will, and have, boo Santa Clause. The Chargers stadium is empty of local fans because the team went out of its way to alienate their San Diego supporters and the good people of Los Angeles could not care less about them.

You have the Raiders moving next year or the next Las Vegas. Not sure that looks very good after last night.

EJ Manuel was 11 for 17 for 106 yards, no TD and an interception. Before his injury Carr was 10 for 18 for 143 yards and a TD. Carr was sacked twice and Emanuel once. Looks to me like there wasn't much difference in protection

“There were audible boos when a call went against the visiting team. Announcers said they have NEVER seen it happen before.”

I’ve seen it many times. The Chargers have had massive visiting team crowds when still in San Diego, particularly when the Steelers came to town. Raider fans always show up in large numbers as well.

The Chargers are going to have an even worse situation in LA, no doubt...

Hearty congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles who beat the Chargers in California for the first time since 1974. Fly Eagles Fly!

We have learned A LOT about the NFL over the past months and days.

Its clear the owners are 32 billionaires who think they are gods. Their management are a bunch of politically-connected, out-of-touch crony-capitalists who are mainstream media, left-wing groupthink swamp creatures.

Abandoning a 60 year home like San Diego for the promise of a government funded stadium in LA is the height of crony-capitalism and a serious branding mistake.

The NFL allowed Kaepernick a stage for almost 2 years, probable hoping it would just go away.

With a couple tweets, Trump ripped the lid off this ridiculous organization.

The sentiment of a lot of fans these days. Only it sound like the Chargers have serious problems in addition to the current issues.

I was saying the other night that when our local team the Bronocs come to us taxpayers tin-cupping for money to build a new stadium or other extravagant expenditures, that we remind everyone that players took a knee and get none of the taxpayers money. It will be a hard sell at that point if we can remember the disrespect. Maybe by that time the NFL will be defunct.

Unfortunately, the Broncos got a brand new stadium just a few years back so they are less likely to be begging for money or extorting money out of the city with threats of leaving.

Should lose even more precious dollars as games are blacked out in local areas due to low gate attendance....win-win for us....

I bet that Trump is not very well liked these days.

But someone had to state the obvious. Now, maybe we can move forward and clean house and it might require a complete demolition.
