FULL TITLE: Protest the POLICE not the U.S. flag: Trump's press secretary says NFL players kneeling through anthem have the wrong target
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday that football players upset about police brutality should direct their anger and law enforcement officers, not the nation's flag.
'I think if the debate is really, for them, about police brutality, they should probably protest the officers on the field that are protecting them instead of the American flag,' she told a reporter who asked her about the White House's framing of the demonstrations during a news conference.
Asked to clarify her statement by another journalist, Sanders said she was not saying players should actually protest police.
'I was kind of pointing out the hypocrisy of the fact that if the goal is and the message is that of police brutality, which they've stated, it doesn't seem very appropriate to protest the American flag. I'm not sure how those two things would be combined.'

They should be protesting the shooting of blacks in Chicago and abortion clinics that are aborting black children. That’s the real murdering going on.
We go on and on about the occasional bad cop. Meanwhile, about half the murders in America are laid at the feet of about 3% of the population, black males from teenage to 30 years old.

One bad apple... Okay we need to clean up a lot of police departments across America because of a few bad apples that are spoiling the bunch.
Then and only then can we rid ourselves of the thugs.

You’re not thinking straight. You demand absolute perfection from police departments before we can clean up thugs? That’s childish.
The truth is that police have far higher self reporting of bad behavior than lawyers, doctors, etc. No other profession has a higher level of self reporting.
Sure, why not, half the honor guards at sporting events are police honor guards...
