Melania Trump: It Is Parents’ Responsibility to Raise Children Who Have Moral Clarity(trun)
Brietbart ^ | 20 Sep 2017 | Penny Star

Melania Trump said on Wednesday that peace, human rights, and human dignity — especially for vulnerable children — will be the pillars of the work she does in her role as first lady of the United States.

But she repeatedly said that it is, first and foremost, parents’ responsibility to raise their children to be moral, charitable, and to have love of country.

Speaking to the spouses of dignitaries from around the globe who attended the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in New York City, the first lady said family is at the heart of instilling values in children. Trump said:

Show me the loving bonds between your families today and I will show you the patriotism and moral clarity of your nation tomorrow. Our choices on how we raise and educate our children in fact provide the blueprint for the next generation. If we do not advocate a love of country to our children and generations to come, then why would our children grow up to fight for their countries?”

Ping to First Lady Melania's List.

I simply hate reverting back to comparisons to Mooch, because in truth there is none and I would really prefer to forget about them, but WOW!

Simply contrast this was the one who was "All This for a Damn Flag?"

Parents today can’t even teach their kids how to sweep a floor or use the washing machine.

A friend used to lead a youth group. One day, he handed a broom to a young man of about 10 years old to sweep an area of the dining hall.

He returned a few minutes later to see the boy standing and holding the broom.

He asked why he wasn’t sweeping and the boy replied that he didn’t know how.

My 6 year old grandson’s teacher commented yesterday that my grandson is normally well behaved and shows respect and manners every day expect Thursdays. And it’s always and only Thursdays. On Thursdays he is confrontational, rude and will not take direction.
She then asked if Wednesdays was his weekly visit with his father, which we acknowledged.

Unfortunately his father was raised in a cave by wolves.
I’m not sure how to fix this, since we can’t stop the visitations.

Wow. If there was one post that summarizes much of what we see wrong with society, it was yours when you said “Heads explode, I’m sure.”

How true that likely is, and how far, how very, very far have we fallen that you could make a statement like that, so truthful and on the mark!

That it is considered bad to even suggest that “Parents have responsibility to raise children who have moral clairty”. If parents have any responsibility to their children and society, any at all, wouldn’t THAT be one of the most fundamental and basic of them?

That is depressing to even consider the number of people out there who consider that bad in any way.

My friend and I are leaders of a troop of boys in trail Life USA.

The boys are responsible for planning and executing their trips and adventures.

That includes planning meals, shopping, preparing, cleaning up etc. They make and break camp.

On a good day, these guys can break camp in 45 minutes. A little longer in the snow.

Our best one was a few years ago. We were at a state park and needed to be on the road by 6am. They broke camp in absolute silence. The first real noise was a squeaky hinge as we closed the trailer door.

That boy should have been raised by my family.
I was taught all the typical farm related outdoor work by my father, grandfather and great uncle.

Then my mother and grandmother taught me to cook, clean, sew and all other things “the women folk” usually attended to.

My family believed a well rounded child learned everything that a household may need done.
My wife and I raised our boys the same way.

“He asked why he wasn’t sweeping and the boy replied that he didn’t know how

So did he teach him? Or just retell the story to make himself feel superior?

Part of parenting and kids is putting them with people who will help you teach them your values. If a youth group leader can’t teach a kid a basic skill but would rather run around telling people how clueless the kids and their parents are then he’s a snob and a gossip. Who needs that?

There’s nothing wrong with a gen year old not knowing how to use a broom.

“No one can point to any of the Trump children as failures.”

Exactly. Compare and contrast with say, The Kennedy Klan?

All that opportunity and wealth and they’re just a bunch of drunken, murderous Socialist losers.
