Ashkar began the presentation with a short, graphic video about life in the refugee camps of Lebanon. The nameless children interviewed in the video said, We have no place to play People keep on fighting The camp doesnt make people happy I want to return to Palestine.
The Palestinian Exodus was instigated after the religious group called Zionists claimed that Palestine was a land without people, therefore, encouraging Israelis to occupy Palestine. This ultimately led to the 1947-1948 Civil War of Palestine, sparking conflict from four surrounding Arab states, beginning the Arab-Israeli War. The end result was more land taken over by Israel, and 700,000 Palestinians were banished or forced to flee their country.
The Zionists followed the Palestinians in Lebanon, Ashkar said.

They pump out these lies every day. They are no more refugees than I am the pope. (Which might be an improvement but that’s another thread).
She need to place the blame where it belongs, with Lebanon. Every other country receiving refugees in the 20th Century that I am aware of absorbed it’s refugees, but the Arab countries refuse to do so. It’s a gross violation of human rights IMHO, propagated by the Arabs and the UN.
I lived on the West Bank for years in a majority Muslim community. I spent time in numerous refugee camps. The Arabs never had it so good as when the Israelis were in full control. They brought water and electricity to the camps, supported health care and schools. Many of the Arabs worked in Israel - you should see the large villas they were able to build!
Total TOTAL ARAB BS!
Palestine was a land without people - there never was a place called Palestine, except in the minds of terrorist. The land around Jerusalem in the 1800s was barely populated and those that lived there were nomads.
This ultimately led to the 1947-1948 Civil War of Palestine, sparking conflict from four surrounding Arab states, beginning the Arab-Israeli War - There was no Civil War of Palestine. Surrounding Arab states invaded when Isreal declared itself a nation. In addition, those same surrounding Arab states told the Arabs living in the new nation of Israel to get out. Once the invading Arab states destroyed Israel those fleeing Arabs could go back & take over.
700,000 Palestinians were banished - No one was banished & there were no where near 700K

I think Saarah Murphy should do some research before publishing B.S. in a college paper.

Mideast history, as taught by the University of Mass and reported by the Daily Collegian, free and responsible press since 1890
You cannot return to a place you've never been, especially when it never existed.
