Courts have alreadly rule DACA illegal. There was no reason for Trump to continue it beyond January 20. There is no reason for Trump to continue it through March of next year.

He said it would be rescinded. He said illegals “have to go”.

Now that he’s been elected he is reneging on his central campaign issue.

“He said it would be rescinded.”

DACA has been rescinded. You aren’t paying attention perhaps because your focused on what you imagine is running down someone’s leg. :)

DACA is dead as a program. No new applicants are being accepted. It is being phased out over a six month period. You can argue whether it should have been done abruptly or with some consideration for the recipients who were allowed to stay by the US government (Obama) who gave them SSNs and work permits. But make no mistake, DACA has been rescinded.

Read the official announcement

He said it would be rescinded. He said illegals “have to go”.

They are going thru increased enforcement of our immigration laws. It is also important to recognize that over 60% of all green cards issued annually are the result of change of status of people already here. Some of the DACA recipients are changing status. Some details:

Recent USCIS data revealed:

45,447 DACA recipients have been approved for advance parole

59,778 DACA recipients have applied for Lawful Permanent Resident, known as a “Green Card”

39,514 DACA recipients have been approved for a Green Card

Of the DACA recipients with Green Cards, 2,181 have applied for U.S. citizenship

Of the DACA recipients with Green Cards, 1,056 have become U.S. citizens

As far as I know, Trump has not committed to giving amnesty to the 11 to 30 million illegal aliens living here. DACA recipients are not illegal under federal law. They are provided with USG ID cards.

Trump has not taken any actions that show him "reneging on his central campaign issue." He has rescinded the DACA program and signed other executive orders strengthening immigration enforcement. Before we crucify Trump on DACA, let's look at what he has done on immigration since assuming office. He is the best President on the issue since Eisenhower. Reagan made the terrible mistake of a blanket amnesty in 1986. When you reward something, you get more of it.
