Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence told NBC’s Today co-host Savannah Guthrie Thursday that she’s planning on taking a break from acting. While promoting her new Darren Aronofsky-directed horror-thriller, mother!, and amid controversy over her anti-President Trump climate change comments, Lawrence revealed that she doesn’t have another on-screen project lined up for the next two years.
Asked if she’s thinking about taking a break from acting, Lawrence said “I’m taking one. I don’t have anything set for two years.”

im sure she has more than enough money for several lifetimes... plus whatever endorsement deals she has coming.. she’s at that point that she can basically say or do whatever she wants. As long as she isnt completely stupid she will have plenty of cash...
Really too bad, I actually liked this young actress for parts she played in movies as diverse as ‘Winter’s Bone’, ‘Joy’ and ‘American Hustle’...she really is a great actress and has a wonderful screen presence. Unfortunately now I must bid her adieu as her political rants against Donald Trump and against conservatives are beyond the pale. Farewell, Jennifer!

This is a stupid decision on her part. The shelf life of an actress is pretty short.
A smarter decision would be to try to redeem herself and stop commenting on politics...stop insulting the people who made her rich.

Seriously, J-Law was so enjoyable because she was a refreshing breath of fresh air as a change of pace from the annoying-as-hell, hyper-political, self-absorbed condescension of Hollywood.
She went native almost as quickly as Trump.
