A man who was jumping rooftops in La Puente, evading police for nearly five hours, was finally stopped when a man who lives in the home he was on top of actually climbed up and threw him off the roof.
The moment was captured in a cell phone video that shows 83-year-old Wilford Burgess climbing up a ladder onto the roof of his home, first approaching the man and then pushing him off. Wilford Burgess is seen speaking to KTLA on Sept. 13, 2017. (Credit: KTLA)

It all started when Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies received a call from someone who said they were being followed around 6:30 a.m. in the 14100 block of Beckner Street, officials said. From that call, authorities eventually discovered a man jumping from one rooftop to another as he fled from police.
The roof-jumping went on for several hours as police even brought in a crisis negotiator to try convincing him to come down, officials said.

CA contractors/developers are so greedy, you can jump from roof top to roof top...Disgusting...
Game Over, Pal!
Hopefully, the old guy won’t be prosecuted or retaliated against by friends of the fugitive.
I’d love to see video of that.
video at the link
I saw the video. The roof is very low, so the guy is not likely to have damaged anything other than his ego.
I like this guy.
Let’s invite some of those ANTIFA people to a rooftop party and have this guy up there.
“Wow. I think he tossed that one out about ten feet before he started to drop.”
Mr Burgess did what the cops COULDN’T do because of the PC crowd going after them for police brutality or excessive force. (You jump on my roof and you would be lucky to NOT get shot). Good for the gentleman (Mr. Burgess), he had the right to do what he did and should be give a citizen award by the city. Think about the cost to have those cops all tied up for 6 hours chasing that stupid fool “interloper”.
My first thought also.
If a stranger is making me climb onto my roof, I aint going without my scatter gun.
LOL, that’s one bada** old man!
Don't piss off the old guys. They don't do gradual escalation, they go right for the knockout punch/kill shot.
It’s disgusting. It’s enough to make most recoil when they look at what a $500,000 buys in CA. Even if one could afford it, there is no way most folks would want to live in the neighborhoods where those prices exist.
And that’s just the beginning...Then throw on California’s mobster style, punitive taxes.
what was his crime ?
another non crime
Get off my roof.
Somebody has played Assassin’s Creed too many times.
His crime was opposing the Templars, of course!
Spring Heeled Jack?
Good on the old man. The guy was trespassing so hopefully he was within his rights to toss him to the cops.
They won’t charge him because there’s no way a jury would convict him.
Our house was built in 1978. We’re on a curve in the road so our lot is 1/3 acre and wraps all around the house. Even the houses with smaller lots are not really close together. When I visit someone in a newer tract I immediately think....I couldn’t live here. Even if they have a nice size back yard the houses are so close together you could hear your neighbor pee. Lol
