What do you need to hook up and what is the cost?
You can get a Roku Device for about $40. Plugs into your TV’s HDMI port.
Nothing. You buy the device and plug it in your TV and internet.
You buy the Roku device at Best Buy. Under $50 I think.
Then you hook it up to your TV and it connects to your WIFI
that’s it. Tons of content.
Make sure you have broadband with sufficient bandwidth...no dial-up, no ISDN.
Most importantly you need streaming internet. Then you need a Roku device. The device needs to be logged in to the wifi and then to Roku.
I the devices are available direct from Roku and there are lots of the not up to date devices on Ebay. The top uses on my ROKU are Netflix, Amazon and on trial Britbox. There are lots and lots of free movies on numerous free channels that have ads of some kind. Mostly they are bad to really bad movies.
It’ll be interesting to see if Roku can measure up to netflix.
I recently had a Freeper tell about Youtube on Roku. I have found several good things there and am now enjoying again the Horatio Hornblower series.
If only, (a little Holes lingo there) there was good stream of Fox news, cable would be gone
