I wonder if the owners even care about American audiences. I think they figure on overseas expansion but one would think that would have to be fueled with some $$ from the good old US of A! Plus, I would think they would need some overseas investment and how do you ask for moola with no audience to show for return on your investment?

I didn't watch the NFL last season and plan to do the same this year. I have very little time for TV watching during the week so what I watch over the weekend is saved for the good stuff.....binge watching BritBox or Netflix

I think you're onto something, and you explain it better than me. There are things that support your point and also some obstacles to it, but yeah, IMO there are those who are looking to morph into a "World League of American Football" or some such thing.

That might be why the games in London, and the ESPN broadcasts en espanol. New markets for a sport that has seen its peak.

Expansion or relocation teams in Toronto, Montreal, Mexico City, London... that's just the first round. Also bankroll some schoolboy and college programs in those countries to keep the supply of hired labor coming... HEY! At a lower, more grateful price than American players!

"Gee, Roger old boy, pass the cigars and let's talk about this."
