The tiny Caribbean island of Barbuda was steamrolled by Hurricane Irma as the superstorms confirmed death toll climbed to three Wednesday.
Barbuda and Antigua Prime Minister Gaston Browne reported that 90 percent of the structures on Barbuda were destroyed by the cane, which was packing sustained 185-mph winds when it made landfall at 1:47 a.m.
He repeatedly said over a crackling radio line that the island, which is home to about 1,500 people, is destroyed, according to the Guardian.

Islands have literally disappeared but Barbuda is still on the map, just fewer structures standing. I wish them well.
I never heard of Barbuda until today.

Yes windows can still get blown out if not covered well, and roofs can get blown off but structures would still be standing and rebuilding will be a whole lot less costly.
Any chance Tony Bourdain was filming there?

Looks like that house is up pretty high, so I guess "under the house" isn't under ground... looks like its all built pretty tough.
