Yes, the question was whether he had control when that one foot was down. I’d say give them the td and go with the Refs call.

The best (or worst) ending to a football game still has to be Plano vs East Texas HS football championship in Texas. Down 24 with 3:03 left Plano comes back scoring 4 touchdowns to go ahead by 4. With seconds left they kickoff and Tyler takes the return in for a touchdown spoiling the comeback.

I can top that one: Lakewood HS vs. Bishop Amat (Pat Haden at QB). 1970. CIF Championship game (Southern state section).

Score tied at end of regulation.

"California Tie breaker system" is in force: Ball placed at midfield. Each team is allowed four plays, alternating from one team to the other. After each team has run four plays, whichever side of the 50 the ball is on, that team is declared the winner.

After Lakewood has run its fourth play the ball is on the 46 and Bishop Amat has the ball and one play left (to win they need to gain just over four yards).

Haden drops back, throws an incompletion as he is hit. You guessed: Flag, Roughing the passer. Five yards. Amat wins
