I detest UCLA, but that comeback was unbelievable.
I do like the Aggies, but if you cannot hold onto a 34 point lead, you do not deserve any sympathy for a possible bad call.
Too bad the GIF cuts off where it does, but I do believe he had gained control before he stepped out.
I didn’t see the game but was surprised at the comeback.
Viewing that in slow motion there is no question. His second foot definitely out of bounds.
Like some others probably say, Texas A&M should never have let it get that close.
Poor Aggies coach must be the poster boy for prevent defense.
This is bad.
Just by freeze frame that is a legal college football catch as others indicated.
My mom chose tennis over her beloved Bruins (she and dad were in the stands at every home game for 50+years) last night. She has Alzheimer’s but definitely was thrilled to see this in the paper this morning. Where can I find the whole game to watch for her? Do they repeat them? Does Hulu or anything have them? Anyone know? (She wouldn’t appreciate the highlights on YouTube.)
To me it looks like he doesnt gain full control until he is on his second step...out of bounds.
Texas A&M’s coach or offensive play-caller deserves to be fired for this epic loss. Their second half QB, Mond, finished the game with 3-of-17 completions. Their running game dominated the first half, and they finished 382 yards on the ground... and despite these facts, with a 44-10 lead, and only 19 minutes left in the game, they called more pass plays than running plays. They had EIGHT incomplete passes in this time period... basically donating an extra 8 timeouts to the Bruins, as they were racing back into the game. It was unreal that they kept going back to a QB who could not complete a pass at all, when their runners were so dominant.
Here’s a bad call for the ages;
“Mizzou TD taken away for excessive celebration after RB dives into end zone”
Yes. I am a fan of most Texas teams but the Aggies lost this one simply by the coach’s horrific clock management. The momentum was totally against them on the road... They had 15-20 seconds on every play (that was not an incomplete pass or out of bounds) where they could have run off the clock down during most of the fourth quarter. Seems like at least 3 minutes additional they could have run off. Game over. They did not play to win when it comes to the clock. Think about what Bellicheck and Brady or in college, Saban, would have done with that 4th quarter clock to ensure UCLA ran out of time.
They had 3 more shots and yes he was changing hands so it was an incomplete. They would have scored anyway.
Even though both my kids graduated from A & M and I’m a big Aggie fan (except when they play UT) I agree with you.
Our “Aggies” have a history of blowing HUGE leads....no matter the coach!
In my most impartial (snicker) opinion: TOUCHDOWN!! (see screen name)
