My wife has an ultra liberal kook friend (she does “Resist” marches!) with the family name “Lynch.” I asked my wife if she was going to ask her if she was going to change her name, but my wife demurred. They have an agreement to never, ever talk politics.

Following the recent actions by New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D) to remove Confederate era monuments that stood as a reminder of Louisiana’s history of bigotry, U.S. Represtative Shiela Jackson Lee (D-TX) was inspired to take action.

“My ancestors were taken from their homeland by white devils and forced to adopt the names of their ruthless slavemasters, such as Robert E. Lee and Andrew Jackson,” said Rep. Jackson Lee. She continued, “The idea of maintaining and advancing the names of such racist and ruthless slave owners is horrifying to me as a proud African woman.”

She has begun the process of officially changing her name to Sheila Hussein Obama. According to soon-to-be Rep. Hussein Obama (D-TX), “In my lifetime, President Barack Hussein Obama best exemplifies the superiority of the black race and the reality that sub-Saharan Africans are clearly the most advanced, intelligent, and creative peoples to ever inhabit this planet.”

When asked if she informed President Obama of her pending name change, Rep. Hussein Obama said, “I called the President to seek his approval, and he was honored and supportive.” The Congresswoman went on to say, “His exact words were, ‘You go, sista. These crackers need to be shown what bondage feels like…that will be justice and equality.”

Rep. Hussein Obama’s official change in her Congressional record should become official by October 1, 2017.
