When you say you put “your card” info into Samsung Pay, are you referring to a credit card, a debit card, and the number associated with such an account? In such case you use an existing account you have, as opposed to setting up something such as a Pay Pal account?
There is that to be said. Nothing’s 100%, I guess.
What browser are you using on your S8?
I have a S7 and am using Google Chrome browser. BTW, the main reason why I went with S7 rather than S8 is because on the latter the fingerprint scan is on the back next to the camera lens which doesn’t make it convenient for use.
We live North of San Fran.. Yesterday during the time I posted, no credit cards or phone payments could be made due an internet problem in the area we were in.
The place, we had lunch at handled it with some humor.
When I tried to pay for our lunch, we were told about the down system. We could pay with cash or check.
I paid with cash. My wife asked what would have happened if we didn’t have cash. The waiter said that they would taken our name not charged us and charged us double the next time in. (regular customers). We laughed and so did other customers when they were told the same. We have been customers there for decades.
Too close to the "mark of the beast" for me.

I will say who the heck can afford to shop at Publix..!!??
My future sepends on it.. Only the meat is a little high. The rest is more than competitive.
Using a phone to pay for things at a store?
That is like magic!
I saw a young lady in her 20’s pay at Target with her phone and had no idea how. I use a debit card myself and when I see a person usually older then me using a checkbook I think they are in the dark ages. Now I guess I am in the dark ages.....
