Same people who insist not all Muslims are bad say all who oppose Lee statue removal are racist

Posted on 08/16/2017 1:35:53 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Kind of struck me this morning. Trump called for a temporary ban and extreme vetting of people from nations that have a terrorism problem.

The media and Democrats wailed bigotry, saying not all Muslims are terrorists.

Trump says that not all people protesting the removal of Confederate symbols are racist, and the Democrats and media cry out because they think all of them WERE racist.

Can some of our geldings in the GOP figure this out?

You’re correct. The same mob that two nights ago took down the statue in front of the Durham, NC courthouse is the same mob that tried to lynch the three Duke Lacrosse players accused of rape. Probably not the very same people, but the exact same mentality.

You are not off base. The Marxists have indoctrinated into their intellectually dishonest and duplicitous thinking. You are being sound and rationale. There hypocrisy is intentionally a double standard. There whole agenda is built on double standards.

If that were not the case, and “racism” was the real target, then they would have denounced their own march in Washington D.C. early this year, for, in guilt by association, all the hate-spewing speakers representing black racists and black nationalists, and die hard Communist and the antifa fascists and others. Well no, they’d some, NOT ALL those protesting were violent or racist, even if some were.

Maybe it's time to GORE the LEFT's ox !
What’s that you hear from leftist Democrats?
That’s called silence.
Democrats have the proud distinction of having the only known KKK Grand Kleagle in the Senate for over 50 years.
Democrats even voted Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd as their leader in the Senate for more than two decades.
Kleagle Robert Byrd was Democrat whip and leader in the ’70s and ’80s.

I guess we should remove any references to : will have to be removed by those FASCISTS, also.
After all, they either owned slaves, or defended slave owners.

What ?
They're DemocRATS and you don't want to touch them ?

What about William Jefferson Clinton, because he DEFENDED the Ku Klux Klan and Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd ?
Doesn't any reference to him have to be removed also ?

I guess we got to be equal to all about this matter, and apply this nonsense equally.< /sarc>

You are totally correct in fact if you are white and have any inkling of preserving anything about the South, Western Culture, tradition, American history et al you are a ‘racist’ (a word that largely seems to mean white).

We have become very schizophrenic in this nation about race. The HUGE double standard on race has got to stop. We can’t continue to allow massive numbers of non white race groups of every stripe from political to social and yet prohibit whites from doing the same all the while demonizing whites.

As a lifelong American citizen and resident, I have no personal reason(s) to be believe that all Muslims are bad people. How young can a Muslim be? Catholic children are deemed “confirmed” before they’re of legal age and I suppose the same is somehow true of Islam. How can we deem that a person who is not yet a legal adult a “bad person”, especially if they’ve been keeping their noses clean and aspire to some honorable profession as they grow? However, my not having a personal reason may not preclude me from doubting the goodness of Muslim children for reasons other than the strictly personal.

On the other hand, the court-ordered removal of culturally significant works of art that have been on public display since their dedications (because they don’t meet the ‘criteria’ for political correctness) is bad all the way around, and the people who are willing to double down on denying fellow Americans their right to enjoy American history as it is, if not to create additional memorable American history, are not just bad Americans, they’re bad people too, and very, very few of them are not yet legal adults. It is a one-way street of the zero-tolerance mentality where critical thinking is not required or even considered to be appropriate in societal problem-solving thought processes.

The bottom line for me is that (IMO) we should leave minors (”the children”) out of it if we are to deem which people are the “bad people”, thereby identifying who the “good” people are supposed to be. It’s not just a fool’s game, it’s a dangerous game unless you really have the means to precisely and accurately measure these most basic of human qualities over the lifespans of individuals in the past, present and the generations of Americans to come. The idea that satisfying the criteria for meeting double standards is achievable, is preposterous. You can’t have equality wherever double standards are expected to be met.
