All electronics runs on smoke, not on electricity.

I believe you let out too much of the smoke.
Now it won’t work.

See your local Tektronix Calibration Lab.

Bring bushels of $$$$$.

Otherwise visit Youtube and get some fresh capacitors and a soldering iron....

Buy an App.

There is not much a smart phone can't be trained to do.

Unfortunately this is another industry that has pretty much gone by the way side because of consumerism and throw away mentality. Unless it’s computers it’s hard to find someone who does “real” electronic repair anymore and the cost can sometimes outweigh just buying a new one.

They stuck us on this one for sure.

I’ve learned to repair many items from youtube, from big screen tvs to house AC to vehicle AC.

There are still specialists that work on certain kinds of equipment (basically a hobby that has mutated into a business). If it’s something that is still useful and in demand (i.e. worth money), those people are out there.

I had to do the same. My electronics started with professional music equipment that I couldn’t find anyone to repair and it expanded out from there to computers. Now I work on computerized engine management in big rigs.

Far too much stuff costs more to repair than to replace. The Chinese can solder, assemble and ship for far less than an American can take out six screws and look around.

I had a repair shop nearby, but they moved about ten miles away. The last thing I had done was refoam a pair of speakers for about $50 where it would have cost hundreds to replace them.
