There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public.

Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays.

Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

Booker T. Washington, 1911

Just went to Twitter. Can find the DC’s tweet and that is it. Is Twitter doing something to bury the story.. ?

Lost in all this is the fact that he just isn’t a very good Quarterback. He had some early success under Harbaugh in the option but eventually lost hist starting job when asked to play in the pocket.

I can only find one story on this, the DC’s.

I would really like to know if any other outlets were given this story and spiked it.

Setting aside my personal animus against Kapernick and secondary considerations such as his affect on the locker room, he is a FOOL for listening to someone who isn't a football person.

If he plays on a one-year $900,000 "prove it" contract, and performs well, his position would be MUCH stronger. He wasn't even the starting QB for the lowly 49ers for much of LAST year.

The girlfriend is also apparently unaware that Kapernick has skills that are best employed on a handful of teams. He is not a Brady or Aaron Rogers-type who has a full-skill set and QB savvy that would make him more or less successful anywhere.

Kurt Warner was wise enough to play with the Rams for LEAGUE MINIMUM AFTER winning the Super Bowl and being league MVP. This strengthened his position in negotiations and he was able to get his money. Kapernick's biggest recent performance is sitting on his duff.

Kaepernick doesn’t have time to play football; He’s too busy playing himself.

I predict a sell out when the Patriots take on the Terror on their home field.

It’ll be a blow out. Literally.

This story jives with the fact that he wants first string money to be a backup.

How long before Colin Kaepernick gets into the NFL Hall of Fame?

One wonders how the story made it onto MSN’’s website in the first place. Random act of jounalism? NBC protecting its NFL gig?

I’m guessing the details of CK’s unreasonable demands and teams who would have made him an offer if he was reasonable have been floating around among insiders for weeks. There have been hints in the language used by coaches and team spokesmen.

It’s become very clear that CK’s goal is NOT playing football.

It was going to break anyway. Why not be first in the MSM?

If the source did go to ESPN, ESPN would never report it.

Kaepernick’s girlfriend, outspoken radio host Nessa Diab, appears to be a driving force behind his negotiating tactics

I like Kaepernick's girlfriend as much as I like him. She seems as amazing as the character Amy, the missing wife in "Gone Girl".

I wonder how his parents feel about this. Have they disowned him yet?

And another two dozen QBs will be drafted in the first 3 rounds this year. He’s done.

"How long before Colin Kaepernick gets into the NFL Hall of Fame?"

Good point. He's way past due. He should have been admitted no later than last spring. This delay is a grave injustice.

JMO, but I don't think he really wants to play. I also think that most NFL teams are of that opinion also.
