Every time they recounted the ballots, there were chads littering the floor. Every count changed the count. An incidental chad pop out had the same weight as an original vote. How anybody could have confidence in any recount is beyond me. Having said that, Gore NEVER had a lead in ANY count, recount, re-recount. The man is delusional in virtually everything he says.
Of course all just speculation. But I don't think Gore in 2001-2009 would have been as left as 0bama was. But whatever, we got what we got.

What difference does it make at this stage? The Bush/Cheney legacy isn’t much different than the Clinton/Gore legacy. Bush would have signed the AWB, Brady bill and just about the whole host of globalist monstrosities pushed by Clinton and daddy Bush from 1989-2000. He certainly made zero attempt to reverse Brady.

Exactly right, Gore lost only because the people who knew him best, the people if his home state, voted for the other guy. Florida had nothing to do with his loss.
He can think as he pleases. The recounts show that he did not.
