The State Department under Secretary Rex Tillerson has been locked in a growing power struggle with the White House that has angered officials in the West Wing and sparked claims that the Trump administration's top diplomatic organ is now in "open war" with the White House on a range of critical issues, including the Israeli-Palestinian impasse, Iran, the crisis with Qatar, and other matters, according to multiple sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon about the situation.
The State Department is said to be in a state of "massive dysfunction," with top officials working under Tillerson ignoring White House directives on critical staffing issues and key policy matters, according to multiple sources, including administration allies who are said to be increasingly frustrated with what is perceived as the White House's inability to control its own federal agencies.
The tensions have fueled an outstanding power battle between the West Wing and State Department that has handicapped the administration and resulted in scores of open positions failing to be filled with Trump confidantes. This has allowed former Obama administration appointees still at the State Department to continue running the show and formulating policy, where they have increasingly clashed with the White House's own agenda.
The latest flashpoint in this growing civil war is Israel, where a string of terror attacks has sidetracked the Trump administration's nascent efforts to get the Israelis and Palestinian back to the negotiating table.

I suppose it’s too simple to ask why they are still employed.
If there is one appointee who may not be up to the job, it’s Tillerson.
He still hasn’t cleaned out the muslims from the State Department.

I don’t remember a time when the State Department was not in a state of “massive dysfunction.”
Get rid of all Obama people and drain the Deep State Swamp of all those who love government more than America.
Foggy Bottom is the biggest swamp in DC.
It’s the one that needs draining the most......................
>>top officials working under Tillerson ignoring White House directives on critical staffing issues and key policy matters
Fire them for cause (insubordination) and take their pensions.
Fire their commie rat b@$tard @$$e$
Dear State Department Employees:
You are not elected by the people of The United States.
Get in gear and get in line or get out.
I’m sure that there is a carnival somewhere that needs someone with State Department experience to operate a boat ride. Just ask Hillary.
Love and kisses!!!

Wasn’t Sec of State the job Rudy G really wanted? Fire T-Rex & put Rudy in there. He WILL clean house. Getting RG confirmed might be another story. T-Rex, from the get-go, appeared like he had his own paths he wanted to wander, not Trump’s. If people do not support Trump’s agenda, they need to go immediately ... ESPECIALLY OBAMA HOLDOVERS. If Trump himself has to take a trip to Foggy Bottom & fire people, then that’s what he needs to do.
These people need to be removed. It is not only Trump who they are defying, they are also defying the will of the American people.
Obama is no longer prez, if they cannot handle that, tell them they are fired.
Until civil service rules are changed and people can be fired for insubordination nothing will change in the bureaucracy.
The Obama holdovers are taking it to a new level.
I think Trump may surprised that the Deep State Swamp is as deep and corrupt as it is. May God give him strength to withstand the hatred of America that is entrenched in D.C.
It would not be his fault. He has to get his people approved before he can do much more. If he ends up resigning because it’s too much for him I would recommend President Trump just send the military into foggy bottom and clean that sewer
Fire every one of them
Destroy their pensions
Drain the sewer.
I expect that it's probably 10x worse for Trump though.
These are statutory offices, created by Congress. Unless Congress abolishes the office, they cannot remain vacant. Trump has not yet nominated anyone to serve in any of the Assistant Secretary of State posts, so those positions are either still being held by Obama appointees, or, if they have quit or Trump fired them, by career civil servants as "Acting" Assistant Secretaries. Until Trump nominates his own people and the Senate confirms them, the positions will be filled by people who are hostile to him.
EVERY agency and department of Fedzilla has been totally corrupted and stuffed full of true believers by the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
It never should have happened.
BOTH parties wanted rid of the natural born citizen clause.
