That was very nice. Must have been one of his first hits. He was 25 in 1961.

I like his abilities: Sure guitar and banjo. But everything else through bagpipes and percussion as well?

Oh yeah. I’ve watched “The Wrecking Crew” several times on Netflix. One of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen - especially if you’re a fan of “the LA sound”. And yeah - appreciated Glens contribution there as well.
And I had no idea Brian Wilson was the freaking genius he is, either.

His studio work was most impressive, like that little riff lead in for California dreaming.

I first learned about The Wrecking Crew about 1972, when I got my first bass guitar and took my first bass lesson. The teacher used Carol Kaye's books, and explained to me that I'd been listening to her for years.
It's been years since I played bass, but I'm going to start up again, and I just bought some of her books again, directly from her site, and I may even take a Skype lesson from her.
