At least one person has been shot dead while waiting to vote in an unofficial, opposition-organized referendum in Venezuela.
Men on motorbikes killed a woman and wounded three others in Caracas.
One news agency, Reuters, is reporting two people died. Video from the scene showed people rushing away from the gunshots. Many fled to a church.
Venezuela is in crisis and more than 100 people have died in political clashes since April......

One of the three referendum questions was about the army intervening to defend democracy.
The government says the army will defend its fake election two weeks from today (July 30th).
I saw some video of a voting queue in Venezuela. The queue went for blocks.
I don’t watch any MSM #FakeNews but I’ll bet they’ve been nearly silent on what’s going on in Venezuela.
A. Too silent
B. Too friendly to the regime
Useless. Venezuelans will not regain their freedom except by a violent bloody revolution. Maduro and company will have to swing from lamp posts. Commies rarely walk away from power.
The MSM loved to talk about Venezuela when Hugo Chavez was insulting Pres. Bush, giving heating oil to NH and MA and Sean Penn was hanging out there.
Now that it’s collapsing from its Bernie Sanders style policies they’ve forgotten it exists. They’ll let those people all die before they admit that a socialist paradise is really a hellhole of tyranny.
Totalitarian oppressors don’t do voting..
Just to put things in perspective, and to point out just how lacking in empathy and basic human understanding leftists are, consider Phil Donahue’s recent comments that the Trump election was the darkest moment in political history. There are people suffering and dying in Venezuela, but that isn’t a dark moment. The election of an ‘America First’ politician in the US is, according to Donahue and so many of his mindless fellow travelers.
I honestly need to thank the left. They have reminded me how the meaning of my life is really defined by what I do to make the world a better place. I think we would all benefit from remembering that 1) We are not alone, 2) The differences we make may not be felt in our lifetimes, but will be felt, 3) opposition is essential, and our opposition serves a very important purpose, and 4) God is in charge. Not us, and clearly not those who define their lives by their fleeting fame and stature.
I saw Donahue’s comments. He said the we now have a “crotch grabber for president”. Don’t recall his disgust when Bill Clinton was president.
“Dont recall his disgust when Bill Clinton was president.”
I don’t either. In fact, I remember a whole lot of the press and the left excusing Clinton, because it was ‘just about sex’. The left has absolutely no principles, no integrity, and no credibility. Clinton did the act (probably over and over with different girls/women - some by mutual consent, some not), Trump made a lewd and stupid comment. The difference is huge.
Apparently John, Robert, and Teddy Kennedy never said anything disgusting about any woman even when they were banging other peoples’ wives and cheating on their own spouses.
Martin Luther King Jr. never said anything improper about a woman either, not even prostitutes.
And Bill Clinton, well, “kiss it” is an old blessing. “Put some ice on that” is a sign of concern.
