That’s the way I see it. I don’t put any stock whatsoever in any of this stuff.

One day they say it is good. Another day, it’s bad. Then good again.

I say screw it. Live life the way you want and let the chips fall where they may. I won’t be a yo-yo for those yahoos in the media who think they control everyone’s lives with their pompous pronouncements.

But I do enjoy the resulting discussions...:)

The vast majority of what we "know" about healthy eating came from the marketing department and not the scientists. Why are there beef recipes on the American Heart Association web site? Does milk really do a body good?

I had a heart scan and showed some calcium building in my coronary arteries. My Cardiologist did not refer me to the American Heart Association diet. He referred me to Dr. Fuhrman's Nutritarian diet. Pretty much turn the FDA Food Pyramid upside down. My Doctors advice was to eat primarily a plant based diet with very minimal animal based foods. His argument was that the human teeth and jaw are more like other herbivores and nothing like the omnivores. We are designed to eat plants. I can't say it is easy to stop eating meat, but it is working for me. Every metabolic function is greatly improved for me and I feel much better.
