I think it was an excellent fight and this nonsense about it being an unfair decision is tainting it.
If we had those kind of bouts in a regular basis, boxing would be a major sport again.
I have to disagree with you here. To have one fighter with less than 10 bouts under his skin, step into a ring with a multi time, multi weight class world champion, try to maul him throughout the fight with neck throws and heads butts, and come out looking like hamburger while his best two shots were a couple of head butts when they didn’t take a point on the second butt as he had been warned about leading with his head, and give him the fight by two points by two of the judges scores, in his home country, is a black mark on the sport.
Boxing has been accused in the past of this type of thing, and this didn’t help it, it harmed it.
