Really. Standards have dropped, apparently.
I have a hard time sympathizing with anyone who winds up in trouble after choosing to travel to Mexico.
I have known that for 40 years, and I grew up a couple miles from the border. In college, for fun, one day I wore a serape I had to my Physics class. In a class of 400 I and another guy used to sit in the back because we were a few years older than the rest, for different reasons. He saw my serape and laughed, I asked him, “Have you ever been to Mexico?” Then he shared with me why he was several years older than everyone else. Seems he and some friends had gotten busted down there while trying to bring a load of pot back. He spent several years in prison. He said the first few years were the worst but once their families started paying the “mordida” things got pretty good. They could buy ANYTHING and it would be brought in. They had a TV, beer , pot (curiously), girls, you name it.
