It’s working exactly as planned. Watch for them to want to raise it again some time soon.

‘Experts cautioned the effects of the minimum wage may vary according to the industries dominant in the cities where they are implemented along with overall economic conditions in the country as a whole’

When experts start putting their names to their conclusions, then I might give them more credibility. I am truly fed up with claims like ‘all economists’, ‘experts dispute’, ‘experts say’, etc. I want to know WHO is claiming the Leftist agenda is correct and good. If they will not out themselves, they deserve no attention.

When the dollar menu becomes the two dollar menu and the specials are not so special any more they will complain about the greed of the business owners.

...they hoped ordered to improve the lives of low-income workers...

Fixed it for the newspeak.

Yes. Right now we are making a small profit but it comes and goes. We have excellent management. Lots of former business people on the board.
The golf course has similar problems and they nearly break even.

Many restaurants here in Tucson have closed due to our increased minimum wage. My favorite NY deli was one of them.

That is typical of my experience with HOAs ;ALL the members pay for certain amenities used by some. Much like government taxes. I really don’t get why people wish to pay an additionalset of “taxes” in order to subject themselves to even more rules and restrictions.

There are pros and cons. We have a beautiful well maintained community which is not subject to neglect by local govt. Homes resell and get remodeled so the community is renewing itself. The overall value is good since people buy here for the facilities even when they may not use all of them.

“fracking had NO impact whatsoever on drinking water, fracking has actually reduced carbon dioxide emissions.”

But they saw a movie where the flammable gas came from the drinking water tap, and it would burn with a large flame!

Therefore, it must be so.

“...Yet according to a major new study that could force economists to reassess past research on the issue, the hike has had the opposite effect.”

I’d like to know the name of any economist who thought this was going to work. You learn in basic economics that raising the price of anything will cause the consumer of that good/service to use less.
