McCarthy worked with Comey and others under Rudy Giuliani in the USA Southern District of Manhattan. While not a #NeverTrumper, he
does or at least
did appear to be lukewarm on The Donald, and has repeatedly stood up for James Comey in the past.
I believe it is very slowly dawning on him that former associate James "Jimmy the Weasel" Comey is a dirty cop. [His books on terrorism and Islam based on his own experiences, by the way, are excellent and well written.]

Agreed.
And Dershowitz is a solid Dem.
Both are quite knowledgeable and experienced men who have no great interest in helping Trump. But if there were rewards for honesty under fire, they’d both be rich right now.
