PASADENA >> What began as an investigation into public urination at a Pasadena Gold Line station on Wednesday led deputies to seize two guns, high-capacity magazines, suppressors and a machete from the suspects duffel bag, authorities said.
Deputies first approached a man about 9 a.m. after spotting a man relieving himself in a planter along the sidewalk outside the Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station at Madre Street and Foothill Boulevard, Los Angeles County sheriffs officials said.
The deputies confronted the man about the offense, and the suspect provided them with what turned out to be a false name, according to Deputy Katherine Zubo of the sheriffs Transit Policing Division, who took part in the arrest. The man was carrying a duffel bag with him.
A search of the suspects bag turned up a loaded AR-15-style rifle, fitted with two 30-round magazines and a suppressor, as well as a .40-caliber pistol with a high-capacity magazine and a suppressor and a large machete-style knife, Sheriff Jim McDonnell said. The bag also contained a notebook full of writings and a Bible. He was booked for weapons violations.

Powerful Weapons?
I half expected to read he had a few tomahawk missles.
Stupid story...
Apparently someone took the Gold Line a bit too literally.
For the hoplophobes, a bolt action .22 is a powerful weapon.
found old mugshot but don’t know if it’s the same guy

Would a food processor be a powerful automatic knife to these people? Really who needs to chop a cucumber in under 5 seconds. Sensible appliance control.
“Powerful guns”?! A 9mm pistol and a rifle. Wow.
Elsewhere I thought I read it was a 9mm. Okay, that 40 cal is scary. What would they classify a 45? A cannon?
I saw a more recent mugshot today. Looks like same guy. Run Google search. His mugshot from yesterday is there. Odd fellow. Gets around and gets arrested.
Did not mention weapons, but did mention presenting a false ID to police.
Could well be.
Only a $10K bail? That’s kind of low.
If they don’t find something to charge him with soon, he may have to be let go.
This man was on a mission of some type.
His ‘work’ remains undone, for now.
Okay, odd collection of stuff, guy's a scumbag, and likely deserves what he gets.

At least the third post for this
the gov’t hates its subjects to defend themselves.
In Texas or AZ he would have been considered lightly armed but in CA he was carrying “powerful weapons”.
Heaven forbid a snowflake every saw a tiny piece of one. Triggered and in counseling for months.
Golden Showers in the planter....
Hmmn. :Likely not a drunk, white, redneck Trump voter - THAT stereotype would be identified immediately! (Of course, in California or NY or IL, there are fewer drunk white redneck Trump supporters per million people than in Florida, for example. But even in CA, FL, NY, or IL, almost all of the even the drunk white redneck Trump supporters know enough to not urinate in public.)
Illegal alien, Muslim import ... likely not a racist urban “cowboy” with that gun mix. But I am stereotyping there as welll, aren’t I? 8<)
I get the feeling that this guy does not have an NRA card in his wallet and could have been up to something.
Good advice.
