The ‘Amazon Go’ system uses your smartphone to scan items as they are picked up. Putting them back on the shelf removes them from the list (RFID). Walk through the door and your smartphone transfers money from your bank account.

Walmart tried this here a while back. Wife tried it first day. Walmart stopped it in less than a week. Was not cost effective, too much loss. Walmart tests lots of new things around here since it's their headquarters.

If I could pick up a scanner and bags when I walk in the door....scan and bag as I go, I would be ok with that. But I hate the...put everything in your basket, empty basket to belt, scan everything, pay, bag everything. That is just too much work for me.

Sam’s Club has an app that allows you to scan your products as you add them to your cart and then pay with a credit card. Then, you totally bypass the checkouts, and the person at the door on your way out scans the barcode on your phone. I’m not sure what happens when you try to buy alcohol, but other than that, it is very easy.
