One thing I really don’t like is backtracking in the face of these hysterical libtards. I respected Trump from the start because it seemed that he was not willing to play that game, and he doesn’t, but so many around him do. You have to ignore these people, pretend they don’t exist. Fox News people are just getting destroyed this year. Ailes, O’Reilly...Monica Crowley and Clarke failed to secure their Trump positions. And our side has basically one scalp with Griffin, and some other CNN host I never heard of. I’m getting tired of losing. Whether you liked Fox or not, they are being attacked by the common enemy of us, Trump, the right, etc.
This is a loss. Sheriff Clarke is a man of high principles and has not been corrupted by a single ounce of political correctness.
Sheriff Clark may have been affected by the psych-ops of the Left. It is a horrific thing to go through. Sheriff Clarke sees that Trump has caved on DACA . Also he may not be interested to work under PC swamper Kelly.
I read that the reason Clarke turned it down is because he talked to Trump during his Wisconsin visit about how could help the administration more aggressively in a different role than the DHS job, and they have something else lined up for him.

The story went on to say Clarke and Trump met this week when Trump was in Wisconsin. I think Clarke doesn't want a paper pushing job. He wants something more vocal and in your face. Sounds like a better fit, to me.

Maybe he’s going to run for U.S. Senate in 2018. Senator Baldwin’s seat is up for grabs in Trump state next year.
