Well, that's not exactly what West said...
West explained: Burt and I were like kids in a candy store. It was the Swinging Sixties with free love and women threw themselves at us. I remember one night with eight different women. Orgy is a harsh word, but it was eight at one time. Id have young female co-stars in my dressing room at 7:45 in the morning.
Where was Robin?
Right beside him.
Meanwhile, trusty Boy Wonder Ward, who is now 71, claimed West was definitely the ringleader when it came to their own adventures.
He recalled decades later: When I entered Batman as a naive 20-year-old who had only dated a couple of girls, I met Adam West, who immediately introduced me to the wildest sexual debauchery that you can imagine. We often found that women were banging on our windows while we were bedded down with other women.
He added: Were talking about wild times in the dressing rooms, on the set, between the shots, in the lunch wagon. And then of course, doing the personal appearances on the weekend, thats where it really got wild. And I have to be honest with you, we became like sexual vampires.
He added that the costumes seem to be part of the lure for women: If you look at our show, youll see that we always stood with our legs open, our fists on hips and our bat bulges forward, which had a profound effect on women.
"Bat bulges" Hahahahahaha!
I was in college when it first came on. It was the topic of conversation for a while. Really different.
I sometimes watch episodes on METV but they started showing them so late that I haven’t seen one in a good while.
One thing which strikes me is how his “bat bulge” is so obvious that I would not watch it with my grandkids just for that reason.
It also strikes me that he probably could have been nicknamed “stubby”. I think I would have worn a cup or something just so people would not see my shortcomings.
That might also explain his claims or sexual conquests whether true or not.
‘Bat Bulges’....LOL!!!! ‘Same Bat Channel...Same Bat Time’..............Same Bat Bulges!!!! Ha!
I had a personal encounter with Batman.
I was a 27 year old nerdy engineer in search of a job change, headed to Beaumont, TX on a Delta flight. The side of the plane I was on had three seats. By luck, I had the window seat next to Batman, who was in civilian attire and I did not recognize. Some woman came up from the back of the plane, and seated herself next to Batman, and he immediately left to the rear of the plane. I never saw Batman again on the flight, and later heard he was making a personal appearance at t Beaumont car dealership.
Now I am wondering if she was one of those encounters of which he spoke. Unfortunately, she did not have the interest in me she had in him. I would have been glad to fill in for Robin.
There were indeed a lot of young starlets in the shows. Each villain had a gang and that always included a pretty moll.
