My only regret is that we met, later in life and may not have so many years to share.
People always talk about "sparks" & "fireworks" with "the one". It's not. It is a cool breeze, a calm feeling, the certainty of things- the firm position of a compass needle after too long in a storm.

Sorry, but I have a different take: This psycho b** is dragging kids into an adult situation that might cause them much pain all because of her narcissism....All it takes is one jealous ADULT husband/boyfriend/family member to take this whole thing in a very different, very bad direction.....It’s wrong no matter the gender and if it were my kid, jail would be the safest place for her.

I agree with you, whether it’s illegal or not it’s completely unethical.
Teachers should not be targetting their own students for sexual relationships. There are plenty of other venues available to them for that.
Just curious. If a sexy, young male teacher had sexual relations with his female students, would you be as forgiving?

Exactly. None of the arrested-development hearties on this thread seem to understand that experiences as intense as this don’t simply vanish from memory like last month’s pizza. Human bonding in sexual activity is a real biological phenomenon: in this case it will permanently impede these boys’ ability to consolidate a healthy, permanent, and exclusive bond with a future wife. Thirty years from now, lying in bed next to their long-suffering wives (if they’re lucky), with children of their own down the hall, these boys will be visited by nighttime memories of their outrageous “good” luck. They will then have to decide whether to opt for repentance (doubtful when the culture’s telling them they lived the dream), repression, or a lifetime of hypocrisy towards those for whom they’re responsible.
Of course I understand that this talk is coming from frat house towel-snappers with no interest in forming a healthy, permanent, and exclusive bond. Much less troubling over trifles like mortal sin. And they are what passes for conservatives these days.
We need to finds these boys immediately so we can award them their “luckiest boys in America” medal...

It looks like one of the boys may have been under that age, the others 16 or older.
There are other laws, though, that forbid teachers having sex with students.
Even though the acts may be consensual as people normally think of the word, the law doesn’t recognize the consent as freely given and so consent is not a defense.
In North Carolina, a teacher convicted of having sex with a student can be sentenced as a Class G felon and face at least a year in prison as a first-time offender with sex offender registration.
I see no difference between this and the Senior high school co-ed that sleeps over. In my mind they are the same accept one will go to jail.
Lesson learned dang that was good can you teach me more.
