THE LOOP — A Chicago man who had coffee spilled on him at a Loop Starbucks is facing misdemeanor charges after allegedly spitting on people, punching a man and hurling racial slurs in a videotaped tirade.
An ABC7 photojournalist witnessed the tirade and recorded it.
Police said the man throwing the punches and calling people "disposable vermin" and "slave" is William Boucher, 23. He was charged with three misdemeanor counts of battery, accused of physically and verbally abusing three people Tuesday.
Boucher declined to comment in a phone call with DNAinfo Friday, citing legal reasons related to his impending court date.
The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. near State and Lake streets. It started after a black man spilled coffee on Boucher’s suit, according to ABC7.
“Shut up slave! Do not talk to me!” he said to the African-American man in the video. He also referred to the man who spilled coffee on him as livestock.
Boucher also was seen spitting on a 30-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, according to police.

He punched a woman and knocked her down. This jerk is lucky that the guys who tackled him didn’t give him a thrashing.
Ok, the statement about the woman with a hijab makes it likely he was anti-Trump in January of 2016. But that does not necessarily mean he was a Democrat nor leftists. There were many conservatives who thought Trump was a bully at the time. Still his actions at the Starbucks were not what I would expect from any conservative, nor even a modern racist of any kind. They were surreal.
