A birth control packaging mix-up could lead to unintended pregnancies.
Lupin Pharmaceuticals recently announced a recall of Mibelas 24 Fe (Norethindrone Acetate and Ethinyl Estradiol 1 mg/0.02 mg chewable and ferrous fumarate 75 mg) tablets.

Apparently eight wasn't quite enough.
And for those who don't want to read the article, the problem was that the package was rotated 180 degrees so the placebo days were at the start of the month instead of the end.

This happened before. Look up “Pharmoney” where a pharmacist was repackaging birth control pills that were outdated and/or the wrong concentration of the drug.
