You would not want to live in Phoenix anyway it is a liberal hot bed. Think of it as the LA of Arizona. The surrounding communities of Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa are the conservative areas....

AZ is just too close to CA and has been turning blue as the libs flee so they can screw up another state.
Plus, they keep re-electing McCain and deserve whatever they get.

Democrat Mayor and Council.
Maricopa County has 4.1 million residents, Phoenix has 1.6 million.
The rest of the county, 2.5 million, is conservative, Phoenix drags it Left.

Live around Phoenix, not in it. Besides it is a sanctuary city. No need to give them your money to buy votes for dims.

That’s just City of Phoenix. It does not include schools, libraries, the special health insurance tax and so on.

I have a Glendale address but am getting taxed for Phoenix. I don’t know if that’s because we are billed for water and trash from Phoenix instead of Glendale?????

The Glendale post office laid claim to your area decades ago, then the city of Phoenix annexed it.

That is interesting. I guess I would start with the Glendale City Hall to find out what is going on. If you are being billed for trash and water then you are not paying for it with taxes.

go to the Glendale website.
go to their mapping site
http://gis.glendaleaz.com/gis/maps/
enter your street address and find out if you are in the city limits.
you may be getting your mail from the nearest post office, which may be referred to by a Glendale zip code, but you could be in Phoenix. What city officials appear on your ballot ? Glendale or Phoenix?
