I tried to do it without drugs and lasted perhaps ten seconds.

I went back to my doctor, got a few pills and went for a second try. I took the dose plus more (”one for the pot”) of something that ended in “pam” I think.

The place I had it done had a headphone setup where they could speak to you. When they were not speaking, they played music from a CD I brought with me.

I made sure the drugs kicked in and after a quick glance kept my eyes closed and went off to a happy place.

Diazapam. Valium generic. I have Valium for a test I have tomorrow.

Dr. prescribed a bit extra, so I took some of it for a different test a week ago. :) THANK GOD.

I am going to get loaded tomorrow - even though it isn’t supposed to be a painful test - it just REALLY freaks me out.

That's funny, because I just took pot.

It helped.

Lavender has a component (from a class of chemicals called "terpenes") called Linalool that has been shown to have a calming effect, which is why it helps folks like the OP. Turns out pot also has Linalool.
