Congress could fix this nonsense in a day with a bill sent to the President for his signature.
I’m not holding my breath.
How out of control is government? It takes an act of Congress to fire one of these people.
Private sector tax payers? They can be fired on the stop for little or no reason.
This is bull sh*t folks.
President Trump has been waiting far too long for things to turn around. The Shadow Government and those pols who really work for it, not us, are now wounded animals. They're fighting back with everything they have. It's past time for this administration to get lean and mean and clever in achieving victory. The coup is ongoing and it's real. I was hoping the worst of the traitors had been hauled away in handcuffs before President Trump returned to DC.
They Bureaucracy Strikes Back.
Our entire civil service system needs to be badly overhauled to be able to fire people as necessary instead of having a guaranteed job for life.
How do we eliminate these civil service protections? A whole lot of them need to be purged.
Can’t fire him? Put him out to VA pasture.
The POTUS needs to win this one.
Civil Service is flexing their muscle just because they can.
The swamp may not be drainable, short of WWIV and massive loss of American life and distruption of the economy. Which I think will eventually happen anyway.
it seems elections don’t matter
The bureaucracy runs itself, with the protection of the intelligence community and Deep State.
And they all live off massive debt and a completely printed, unbacked currency.
Rubber room these wastes of protoplasm. No computer, no phone, no nothing, nothing to do. Have to ask a veteran’s permission to enter or leave.
Build a federal office building in Barrow, Alaska, the only American town above the Artic Circle. Send these people there. They will leave government employment on their own.
To compound the problem, notice the MSM doesn’t even report this issue. Why? Because to do so would distract their uninterrupted hate of Trump and they would be forced to report Trump tried to reform a corrupt system. To avoid any mention of positive news on Trump, they simply don’t report the issue at all.
>Seems like the only solution is to shut down the entire organization....
No, you just eliminate the position entirely. Then it’s not about the person (even tho it IS about the person) but simply a reduction in force in the department. To make it fair, find all such persons unjustly still employed and remove all their positions.
No other outcome could reasonably have been expected.
If you can’t fire him for being corrupt, Arrest him!
Doesn’t NYC have a special place where teachers that can’t be fired go every day and just sit around doing nothing while drawing their checks and benefits? I think there are hundreds of teachers like this.
Fire the people who returned the incompetent boob to his position.
I have had mixed results dealing with the VA. They came to my bedside in a Civilian Hospital ( a really ‘noted’ Hospital). I was heading over to hospice as my last alternative. They literally saved my sorry hide. Since that time they have gone way out of their way to deride me at every turn. It’s the damndest thing I have ever witnessed. Yes, the entire org needs to be abolished. Like ALL of our Institutions, they have been thoroughly corrupted.
Every new VA administrator over the last 40 years goes into the job thinking they can change it. They find out that the whole system is stacked against them. Between the unions and the ingrained bureaucracy it’s become a permanent monument to what’s wrong with the Federal Government.
I agree that they need to tear it down and start over.
When I worked for government I frequently heard the meme that government employees “own their jobs”. Not sure what that means, but it sounds like it might be true to some extent.
