The article is very thought provoking. When Trump went to the ME, I noted that he is bringing back our old policy of dealing with nation states and their rulers, and not with various fantasy “rebels,” as Obama did. Obama, of course, liked these groups because they were generally pro-Islamist and opposed to a secularist or at any rate not fanatical Islamist ruler. But Obama is all about extending the caliphate and having a one-world Islamist government with no nations but Islam. He does this out of his great Marxist hatred of the West and Christianity.

This is the thing the author doesn’t take into account: Islam sees itself as a political system as well. This is why Muslim countries that wish to be governed by law and function like a modern state must be repressive because they constantly need to suppress the fanatical Islamic clergy and their followers. So what leaders of Muslim countries need to do is encourage a reexamination of Islam in terms of its claims to be a form of government.

I didn’t know if this will happen, but I do think that Trump’s attempt to go back to dealing with nations and national governments is good and may bring back some stability and responsibility In that part of the world.

Other than that, the author is right in saying that European countries should not abandon their cultural and religious background in pursuit of some fantasy neutrality. But here he once again overlooks the fact that the Islamic immigrants to Europe are not content with simply being tolerated, treated equally and allowed to live their lives - they want to take over and impose their system on everyone because this political vision is part and parcel of Islam. And that must be dealt with.

The Saudis seek our protection because we are powerful and the Shia Muslims want to topple their government,, but at the same time the (Sunni/ Wahhabi) Saudis are spending millions on mosques here in an effort to promote our destruction from within. As you say, Islam is primarily a political system. The primary political aim of Muslims is to replace the Constitution with sharia.

Thank you for the complete reply regarding the content of the article. The author suffers from Islam denial. He fails to see what is clearly stated and practiced in the Muslim faith.
