No doctor has the ethical right to do such surgery, which is an intentional maiming of a mentally troubled patient. The surgery was not to remove a diseased, or abnormal, or deformed, or cancerous uterus. It was to destroy a healthy organ, and expose the patient to unnecessary high risk ... for money.

Doc should lose his license, to say the least.

Agreed, but it makes me wonder if refusing to do the surgery would have made the surgeon open to lawsuits?

What a sick society in which we live.

Yet in our current upside down world, it could go the other direction. I’m referring to a possible future scenario where If the surgeon refuses to do the mutilation operation, could he be prosecuted. No different than “bake the cake, you homophobe”.
May that never happen.

Add to that: surgeries for vasectomy, tied Fallopian tubes, bariatric surgery (cutting up a healthy gastrointestinal tract), vanity plastic surgery (installing "horns" or splitting the tongue, for example), etc. In all these cases the organ was working as designed before surgery.
