Location closes Sunday after crash
A delivery driver crashed her gray Toyota Camry into a Domino's on Sunday in Hialeah.
When a car smashed into the entrance of the pizza place, employee Christopher Penas said he ran for cover.
"Glass hit me, but I didn't get cut," he told Local 10 News.
The car barreled through the front window of the store at West 60th Street and West 20th Avenue, coming to a stop in the lobby.
The driver was visibly shaken after the crash. She could be seen wearing a bandage on her hand and had cuts on her arm.
"She by accident accelerated and went right into the store," Penas said. "Thank God I was on the other side of the store or I would've been hit."
The driver was taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Domino's was boarded up and shut Sunday after the car was towed away. A sign on the window told customers to visit another Domino's location on West 49th Street.
So they report the name of a guy inside the store but not the female driver who crashed into the store.
Delivered in thirty minutes or less (at high speed) or it is free.
There were Toyotas with unintentional acceleration problems.
I’d like a large anchovy, onion and Toyota on a thin crust, please.
With a side of glass shard cheesy bread, please.
