Yale Lary, Hop Cassady and Dick LeBeau made the Detroit defensive backfield in the late ‘50s a nightmare for passing offenses. They were the reason Detroit won its’ last title. They shut down Otto Graham and Cleveland’s passing game in the 1957 NFL title game.

Two Hall of Famers and a Heisman Trophy winner.

Factually, I know I am old. When guys who I watched play and thought were supermen pass of old age, I KNOW I am old. RIP Mr Lary.
