A federal judge Tuesday directed prosecutors to lay out their case in writing to support their argument that California resident Gary Hunt knowingly violated a court protective order by posting the names of informants who helped the FBI.....
U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown also asked the government to address the "efficacy" of pursing a contempt of court ruling, considering that Hunt has spent seven days in jail and some of the FBI informants' names came out during the court of two federal conspiracy trials....
Assistant US Attorney Pam Holsinger argued that it was Hunt's intent to aid the defendants in the case....
Holsinger pointed out that Hunt was in Burns during the refuge takeover and at the refuge on Jan. 28, 2016....
The defendant is directly tied to this criminal case," Holsinger said......
But Hunt and his lawyer, Michael Rose, have argued that the federal court in Oregon doesn't have authority over him, nor did the intitial protective order that prohibited parties in the case or their defense teams from distributing or publicizing documents on the unnamed FBI informants....
"The fact he wound up with discovery documents doesn't indicate how he got them," Rose told the court. "His interest is in transparency...shining the light on what the government does and how it does it.".....
Once the judge obtains further legal filings, she'll schedule a hearing to determine if she has jurisdiction over Hunt and whether he should be held in contempt of court......

The pattern of the Oregon Standoff and Bunkerville Standoff cases is that of the over the top reaction by federal law enforcement, federal prosecutors and federal judges.
Beyond this attempt to take down the blog posts of Gary Hunt by jailing him and dragging him into federal court to hold him in contempt, there are other matters.
FBI agents shooting at LaVoy Finicum during the "routine traffic stop" that ended up with LaVoy being gunned down.
The rigging of the second trial in Oregon by Judge Brown with her questioning of the first trial jury, her adding the bench trial on misdemeanor charges in the second trial, banning of defense witnesses.
The attempt to prosecute Ammon Bundy's defense attorney Marcus Mumford (tackled, tased and arrested when his client was acquitted in the first trial).
Now after the charges were dropped the senior federal judge in Oregon wants to disbar Mumford in Oregon's federal courts and require Mumford to disclose this to other courts he practices in.
The rigging of the first Bunkerville Standoff trial by Judge Gloria Navarro with the banning of defense witnesses and even with that trial's failure, her plan to retry the defendants again at great expense to the taxpayers.
All the prisoners, more than a dozen, held without bail in a Nevada prison not even tried and or convicted yet.
The federal government treats these cases like they are terrorism.
James Comey may be fired but when will the firings continue, when will the prosecution, persecution and all out attack on people connected with these cases by the feds stop.
And yes, when do the 13 hour torture sessions like the one administered to Ammon Bundy May 2nd and 3rd at the Southern Nevada Detention Center end?

I wasn’t aware that the 1st Amendment’s protection of free speech and free press was “subject to court order”. Hunt must be freed and the judge should be impeached.
Mr. Hunt is out of jail for now after doing seven days but the federal prosecutors in Oregon led by a man appointed by the Obama Administration (Billy Williams) in December 2015 but not asked to resign by the Trump Administration so far want Hunt held in contempt so Hunt can be forced to take his posts down.
Willful ignorance just looks right on you. :-)
